Drinking is a mechanism in the game, as real-life beverages are consumable by the player character.

Effects[]

There are several effects of drinking in the game. The player character will have their health and stamina restored and they will also feel refreshed, indicated by a faster stamina recovery. These effects depend on the stat values of the beverages. For example, water gives a slight but balanced amounts of these effects, juices recover health better, while energy drinks give a significant amount of stamina recovery.

Alcoholic beverages[]

The player character can also drink alcoholic beverages, in which it has certain purposes and effects. It can be used for recreational purposes, such as during a visit to a bar, a party, or other events, and it can also be used to help relieve certain mental/emotional conditions such as stress or depression.

The player character can also enter a drunk state while doing so, in which the camera will wobble uncontrollably and blur out, and controls will be "shaky". How soon the effect takes place and how powerful the effect is depends on how much alcohol is contained in the beverage as well as how much the player drinks. When this happens, the player character may comment about how they feel weird or drunk. The game will notify the player when this happens, and suggests them to not drive a vehicle until the effect fades away, as to not alert nearby people or the police of drunk driving.
